That means this classified ad is a rare chance to own a very special piece of automotive history - one that looks and sounds sublime. Three years later, the Spyder version of the "Flying Saucer" was introduced, and between the limited access to Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (of which only 500 were ever made) donors and what must have been an exorbitant price, only seven of these were ever made. The Italian coachbuilder somehow managed to make the gorgeous 8C Competizione even more stunning by giving it a pronounced retro vibe. Or so you would have thought until Touring Superleggera released the Disco Volante back in 2013. Whether it's the coupe or the Spyder version, the two-seater from Alfa Romeo looks nothing short of perfect. The 8C came with a naturally-aspirated 4.7-liter Ferrari V8 producing 450 horsepower, but despite featuring one of the best engines on this planet, it's actually the exterior design that manages to steal the show. ![]()
